Companies Offering Surrogacy Benefits
Many large companies are now offering benefits that cover IVF and/or surrogacy for their employees. These benefits can include financial assistance for medical expenses, legal fees, and even time off for the intended parents. This supportive approach reflects a growing recognition of diverse family-building journeys. This also aims to reduce the emotional and financial burdens associated with surrogacy.
These companies recognize that providing surrogacy benefits is beneficial, as it helps in attracting and retaining employees, including LGBTQ individuals. By offering such comprehensive benefits, companies foster a culture of inclusivity and compassion. Employees feel valued and supported, knowing that their employer acknowledges and respects their family needs, and this creates a more dedicated and motivated team.
American Express’s benefits package provides eligible full and part-time employees with up to $35,000 for surrogacy and adoption, of up to two children per employee. Additionally, they offer 20+ weeks of gender-neutral parental leave for all parents in the US, including children welcomed through surrogacy and adoption.
Bank of America employees are eligible to receive $20,000 for surrogacy, adoption, or fertility services via the Bank’s Family Support Program. This program provides you with the flexibility to choose reimbursement for eligible adoption, fertility and/or surrogacy expenses.
Intuit
Intuit reimburses up to a total of $30,000 per child and up to a lifetime maximum of $60,000 (for two children, not to exceed $30,000 per child).
Liberty Mutual Insurance
With Liberty Mutual’s Adoption and Surrogacy Assistance Plan, you may receive reimbursement of up to $40,000 for eligible adoption or surrogacy-related expenses. They also provide access to fertility education tools to help employees learn about and understand their fertility options.
Meta
Supporting you in your family-building journey in the US is important to Meta. No matter which medical plan you’re enrolled in, you have access to fertility benefits, but your coverage and provider network may be different based on which medical plan you choose. It is estimated between $50,000,-$75,000 in coverage.
Morgan Stanley
There is a $ 75,000 lifetime maximum for family building benefits to assist employees with the cost of adoption, surrogacy, and fertility treatments—including IVF, egg-freezing, sperm-freezing, and 12 months of storage. Additionally, they have an extensive menu of family building, maternity, and parenting services, including around-the-clock expert care and guidance from specialists in dozens of disciplines: OB-GYNs, midwives, doulas, lactation, sleep and potty training consultants, speech therapists, and child psychologists to name a few!
Netflix
Netflix offers a global family-forming benefit to support employees during their fertility, surrogacy, or adoption journey. This benefit is available to employees and their spouse/domestic partner, regardless of marital status, gender, or sexual orientation.
Pinterest offers $20,000 in surrogacy assistance and up to four cycles of IVF. These are in addition to existing benefits around areas such as surrogacy, breast milk shipments, and well-being.
Snap Inc.
The company develops and maintains the image messaging and multimedia mobile app Snapchat. Snap currently offers surrogacy benefits for those living in Norway, Sweden, Netherlands, Germany, France, Israel, Austria, and the UK.
All benefits-eligible employees are eligible to apply for reimbursement of adoption expenses and surrogacy expenses. You could be reimbursed for qualifying expenses up to a lifetime maximum of $40,000 per partner (If you and also your spouse or domestic partner both work at Starbucks).
Qualified cast members can access benefits including fertility, adoption services, various parental leave options, and extra family support resources. Disney offers up to $75,000 (lifetime maximum).
